Mariana-Art Gallery Exhibition
Details of Mariana-Art Galleries latest exhibition.Members of St. Briavels WI will recognise this painting of Tahiti Orange Hibiscus, since the painting was started at a demonstration of flower painting techniques for their group, earlier this year.
The painting is now finished and forms part of an Exhibition by local artist D. Mariana Robinson which will be held at the Mariana-Art Gallery, East Street, St. Briavels GL15 6TQ from Friday 23rd May to Sunday 1st June 2008.
This Exhibition includes new works by the artist, including acrylics on canvas inspired by the Wye Valley grasslands and the natural world of the Forest of Dean. As well as traditional watercolour landscapes, flowers and animals, Mariana also presents more abstract subjects with a seasonal flavour.
Tanya Saltmarshe’s colourful ceramics will be on display along with Silver Jewellery by artist Debbie Aldecoa, now displaying at the Gallery.
The Exhibition will be open every day from 10.30 – 6pm from Friday 23rd May to 1st June, (closed Wed 28th May).
