Hoggin the Bridge VIII
Hoggin the Bridge VIII brought thousands of Harley's into Chepstow raising £14,800.
Hoggin the Bridge VIII on 22nd October brought thousands of Harley Davidson's into the streets of Chepstow and in turn they raised the record breaking amount of £14,800. At the November meeting of Bridgwater HOG, Dave Holden Chapter Director presented cheques to fourteen different groups and charities. The main beneficiaries locally were St Annes Hospice, Bike Safe, SARA (in acknowledgement for all the hard work the volunteers put in during the floods this summer helping rescue residents of Gloucestershire), Chepstow Marketing (to help fund future events in Chepstow) and The Michael Emms Fund (Twenty year old, Michael from Caerwent has Motor Neurone Disease and his family and friends are frantically raising £49,000 to take him to America for life saving Stem Cell Treatment).
Attending the meeting on behalf of Chepstow Marketing were Jacqui and Steve Sullivan. Jacqui said 'This was the third Hoggin' the Bridge for Chepstow and it truly was a fantastic day for everyone who took part or came along to see the bikes. That the Bikers also manage to raise so much money for their chosen good causes really is a bonus'. Dave Holden, Chapter Director said 'Chepstow really knows how to Welcome us, seeing the bridges and streets throughout the towns and villages lined with people was absolutely amazing. We are looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!'
