"BBC Wildlife Magazine, the Inside Story".

A large and appreciative audience at the February meeting of the Gwent Wildlife Trust, Chepstow Group, proved that there is a great deal of interest surrounding the presence of wild boar in the Forest of Dean. By the end of the evening, most of those present were very much better informed, and were happy to have these remarkable creatures, which are after all native to Britain, back in our woods, while allowing that they will have to be carefully managed to avoid too much conflict with human interests. We were very grateful to our speakers for stepping in at very short notice.
Our March talk will be on a very different subject; it will give us an insight into the "BBC Wildlife Magazine, the Inside Story". Fergus Collins is the Features Editor of this popular magazine, and we are very much looking forward to his illustrated talk. This will be on Thursday 4 March, starting at 7.30pm at the Chepstow Leisure Centre. All are welcome - GWT members £2, non-members £1.50.
This talk will be the last of the current season; we have enjoyed a wide variety of interesting meetings and we shall look forward to getting together again in October, when the dates will change to the third Wednesday of the month.
During the spring and summer various events and activities will take place; for more details please visit the Trust's website www.gwentwildlife.org
