Hardwick Hill, Chepstow, Air Quality Action Plan
Two Workshop Seminars to be held in October
Nitrogen dioxide levels along a small section of Hardwick Hill in Chepstow are exceeding national objective levels. Monmouthshire County Council now has a requirement to write, and implement, an Air Quality Action Plan in order to improve air quality in this area. The road in question is managed nationally by the Welsh Assembly Government and as such wider stakeholders are involved in the Action Planning process.
To identify measures to improve air quality at this location and to help with evaluating and prioritising those measures and writing an Action Plan, a workshop will be held on the 21st October 2009 at the Chepstow Hotel. There will be two sessions, one from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm and one from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Please find attached an agenda for the seminar.
If you would like to attend, or receive more information on the issue, contact Cheryl Harris on her e-mail cherylaharris@monmouthshire.gov.uk or telephone number 01291 426899, to notify her of your attendance (please specify which session you will attend), or to be added to an e-mail list when more information is released.
The seminar will run from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm with a second session between
6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. The programme for the sessions is as follows:
