Monmouthshire County Council emergency out of hours telephone number is changing

You may be aware that the Forest of Dean District Council call Centre has been providing the first contact service outside office hours on behalf on Monmouthshire County Council since 1996. However from 9.00 a.m. on Tuesday 1st September the Forest of Dean is closing down the out of hours call service for other authorities. (Anyone calling the Forest of Dean out of hours number (01594 836833) after that time will get a recorded message advising the caller to phone their local authority where the answer message will provide the new number). The new out of hours Emergency number is 02920 626371. This emergency number will be provided to the public on the answer message when they phone the Council’s main number (01633 644644).
