Following extensive consultation with Monmouthshire County Council, Chepstow Town Council and the Chepstow Society, Chepstow Properties Limited are progressing
The redevelopment proposes to remove the existing heavy industrial use from the Town and replace it with a new development including housing, offices, café, public open space and a new section of Riverside Walk. Chepstow Properties Ltd are in consultation with Osborn International to try to ensure that the company’s existing workforce are relocated within the Chepstow area.

It is hoped that the new development will provide better links between Lower Chepstow and its surroundings and open up a derelict part of the Wye waterfront to public use, which has been a long term aspiration of the Council for many years. The proposals will also deliver a significant amount of much needed affordable housing.

Following the consultation already undertaken, the design team progressing proposals for the site are now holding a public exhibition to seek the community’s views in relation to the development before finalising them for submission to the Council. Members of the team will also be available to discuss specific aspects of the development with interested parties.

The public exhibition will be held on the 9th June 2009 at Picton House, Lower Church Street, Chepstow between 12:00 – 20:00.
